The New Studio Layout
As many of you will be aware, I’ve been making some changes to the layout in the studio. Well. I am now nearly there. There is some painting to do and still a fair bit of tidying up, but we are now in a position to be able to function. In fact, the first photo shoot using the new layout happened last week.
The Studio Side
One side of the area is now dedicated to the studio. Plenty of room for my stage, backdrops and lights. There is a roller blind by the window to cut out the sunlight and prevent distractions from people looking in the window during a shoot. No more squashing myself into strange positions to get the shot I wanted.
The Customer Viewing Side
On the other side I have created a customer waiting and viewing area. Hopefully a comfortable spot for customer’s to wait while I photograph their dogs, and also to sit while viewing their images. A new bigger monitor should be coming soon to enhance the viewing experience further. I have also swapped to a new software for displaying the images, which should make the whole process much easier and enjoyable.
New Opening Hours
As from the week starting the 10th August, our new opening hours will come into effect. For the most part, visiting the studio will be by appointment only. You can book your pet in for their photo shoot via the website. However, we know that many people like to come and talk to us in person. So, the studio will be open on Fridays (10am – 4pm) and on Saturdays (10am – 3pm) to allow people to come in and ask about our services. Obviously, if we have a job booked in on a Friday or Saturday then the studio will not be open.
If a Friday or Saturday is not convenient for you then just contact us to make an appointment to come in for a chat.
The Gift Shop
This week has also seen the opening of the Shooting The Dog gift shop. The plan is to make some of our images available on various gifts that you can order on line. The choice is pretty small at the moment but we are hoping to expand the range over the next few months. You can also purchase our very popular Shooting The Dog gift vouchers from the shop.
